Classic airline posters, such as this Pan Am poster, along with other vintage Pan Am posters, often depicting the Hawaii clipper and a vintage hula dancer or a few, are among some of the most famous Hawaii travel posters.
    055: Pan Am World Airways: 'Hawaii by Clipper' - Vintage Hawaiian Panam Airline Poster by John Atherton, ca. 1948, showing a gracefully swaying Jane Russell look-alike hula dancer wearing pink and white leis standing amid tropical plants, sugar cane stalks, and pineapples, with Diamond Head in the background, and Pan Am's famous China Clipper overhead. The Clipper was the largest flying boat ever built, and featured a central lounge fitted with broad armchairs and meals that were served on china with silverware.
