The Hawaiian nostalgia images in this DeLuxe portfolio are based on the proportions of a 20"x28" poster. Contrasting favorably with our economy line of vintage Hawaiian posters these babies are printed using the highest quality watercolor art paper and canvas via archival Giclée technology, and can be ordered in several ready-to-hang finishes. Make sure to select "No Cropping" during checkout, or allow for minimal cropping to fit your chosen format, or if you're going to have your image matted anyway. Keep in mind that the originals these impressions were taken from are antiques, made and printed with methods and machinery vastly inferior by today's standards, but which nowadays adds to their nostalgic charm. Today, we employ the latest in technology and materials to manufacture your print. Be sure to explore the many options regarding sizes and finish, such as mounted on metal, or printed on canvas. Enjoy your trip through the days of Hawaii before jet-travel!

Frank Macintosh: 'Fruit Harvest'. - This Frank Macintosh Hawaii cruise ship menu cover from ca. 1940 belongs to a series of menus he designed which were used on navigational routes between the US mainland and Hawaii.
Frank Macintosh: 'Luau' - Hawaiian Cruise Line steam ship menu. Ca. 1940. Without a doubt one of Frank Macintosh's best crafted images featuring a Hawaiian luau attended by beautiful Hawaiian people and kailua pig.
Frank Macintosh: 'Lei Vendor' - Vintage Hawaii cruise ship menu art. Macintosh's lei vendor appears to be carried around on a float that also features three hula dancers and an ornamental display of Hawaiian flowers. This image captures part of the magic of Hawaii so well that it is just as populair today as it was in the Forties when it was first released.
Frank Macintosh: 'Aloha Ukulele.' - You may have seen this retro art deco Ocean Navigation Company steam ship menu from ca. 1940 before as it is arguably one of Frank Macintosh's most popular designs, combining a ukulele, a flower lei, Hawaiian fruits and flowers into a romantic display that screams 'tropical Hawaiian paradise!'
Frank Macintosh: 'Angel Fish' - Another strong Macintosh illustration for a Ocean Navigation Company passenger ship menu from ca. 1940. Widely collected as keepsakes (each menu was printed on the day of its issue with the ship's name, date, and menu), these Hawaii passenger memorabilia menus have become rare finds as originals representing an entire voyage.
Frank Macintosh: 'Night-blooming Cereus' - Hawaiian cruise liner menu design from ca. 1940, as used on the SS Lurline, the SS Ocean Navigation Companyia, the SS Monterey, or the SS Mariposa. Another radiant illustration from the artist most associated with Hawaiiana, Frank Macintosh.
"Looking Toward Mauna Kea From Waiakea in Hawaii" - Painting for Paradise of the Pacific Magazine cover, 1928.
"Hawaiian Magic" - Vintage Hawaiian sheet music cover. Ca. 1946. Several times during the first half of the last century Hawaiian-style music was all the rage. Certainly, little has changed, as guitar-strumming men still sing the praise of the Hawaiian 'wahine!'
'I Had To Lova and Leava on the Lava' - Hawaiian sheet music cover from ca. 1936. Leave it to the fadmasters of the Thirties to come up with 'catchy' titles to win over buyers of 78 rpm 'Hawaiian' records. LaSalle's cover illustration today is of greater interest to us, showing an alluring Hawaiian beauty with stylized hair and an inset of the Lova Leava Lava crooner.
